Terms of use

1. Scope

These terms apply to using PuzzleWithFriends in the browser and in our apps. Playing is free. Purchases (gold, Plus) are also covered by the terms of sale.

2. Account

You can play without an account. Accounts are created with Google or Discord; we never store passwords. One account per person. Your player name must not insult anyone or impersonate someone else.

3. Rooms and chat

Whoever opens a room is the host and may kick or ban players. Usual chat rules apply: no insults, no spam, nothing illegal. Public rooms filter certain words.

4. Images

Puzzle images belong to their creators. You may use them here to puzzle.

You may stream and record your puzzling and publish it as a video or screenshot, including for income (e.g. on Twitch or YouTube).

You may only download and share images where we explicitly offer it (e.g. the artwork for puzzles you bought), and then only for private use.

5. Your own images

With Plus you can puzzle your own images. Only upload images you are allowed to use and that don’t harm anyone. They are only visible in your room; we delete them after the round, at the latest after 24 hours.

6. Progress

XP, levels, best times and the leaderboard are calculated by the server. Gaining progress by unfair means can lead to a ban.

7. Availability

We aim for stable operation but cannot guarantee it during the beta. Game saves are backed up regularly.

8. Termination

You can delete your account at any time in the settings. We may suspend accounts for violations and will tell you why.

9. Law

German law applies. If you are a consumer living in the EU, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your country.
